He has consistently worked to limit the size of government, to reduce the tax burden, and to promote time-honored Kansas values. Kansas deserves an energetic & compassionate Representative like Lance who will thoughtfully speak up on issues that matter to our State. I enthusiastically endorse his re-election."
Rep. Kinzer expressed his gratitude for the support his re-election announcement has generated and said, 'My family first moved to Olathe in 1979. I care very deeply about this community and its future. Our State is facing significant challenges that require vigorous leadership. I trust everyone understands that it is imperative that we continue to provide our children with quality education. I am convinced that local control of schools is vital, and that the current school funding formula must be reworked in order to allow us to move beyond the seemingly endless school finance morass in which we have been embroiled for the past few years. Equally important is the obligation of elected officials to exercise fiscal restraint. All too often the real financial challenges facing families are overlooked by government officials. Tax increases should not be viewed as a cure-all for our budgetary challenges; the real solution to our fiscal problems can only come through economic growth. We need a tax and regulatory climate that encourages entrepreneurship."
Rep. Kinzer went on to say, 'I believe that the State also has a vital role to play in defending the core values that are necessary prerequisite to a healthy society. The right to life, the preservation of the institution of marriage and the protection of our children from predators and from the coarsening influences of gratuitous violence and sexual promiscuity are of crucial importance. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss these and other important issues during the coming campaign."
