Rep. Lance Kinzer Appointed Chair of Interim Judiciary Committee

TOPEKA - House Speaker Doug Mays (R-Topeka) recently appointed Rep. Lance Kinzer (R- Olathe) as Chairman of the Interim Judiciary Committee.

The committee will review such issues as court docket fees, sex offender residency restrictions, the uniform child abduction prevention act, establishment of a crime stoppers council, and enhanced penalties for driving under the influence.

“Lance has distinguished himself as a leader among his peers. His personal and legislative experience in this field makes him the natural choice to lead this team," said Mays. "I am confident that Lance will do an outstanding job reviewing and assessing these important issues."

Rep. Kinzer has served as 14th District Representative for one term. He currently serves on the House Taxation, Rules and Journal, and Federal and State Affairs Committee. Additionally he serves as the Vice-Chair of the House Judiciary Committee during the regular session.
