SPEAKER CONGRATULATES JOHNSON COUNTY REPRESENTATIVES ON THEIR PERFECT ATTENDANCE
Topeka – Kansas Speaker of the House of Representatives Melvin Neufeld (R-Ingalls) congratulated Representatives Pat Colloton (R-Leawood), Jeff Colyer (R-Overland Park), Mike Kiegerl (R-Olathe), Lance Kinzer (R-Olathe), Rob Olson(R-Olathe), Jill Quigley (R-Lenexa), Arlen Siegfried (R-Olathe), Ron Worley (R-Lenexa) and Kevin Yoder (R-Overland Park) today on their perfect attendance during the 2008 Legislative Session.

“These representatives served their districts well by not missing a single day the Kansas House gavelled in to work this session. Not many legislators can point to this level of commitment. I applaud them for their dedication to always be on the job for their constituents,” Speaker Neufeld said.

Speaker Neufeld also praised freshmen Reps. Quigley and Worley for their perfect voting records.

“Your first term in office can be a bit overwhelming trying to keep track of committee assignments and responsibilities and responding to constituent requests and questions. Reps. Quigley and Worley are to be commended for not shying away from the tough votes,” Neufeld said.

The House recorded nearly 900 votes on bills, amendments, motions to concur, conference committee reports and resolutions during the two year legislative term.
