TOPEKA - House Speaker Doug Mays (R-Topeka) recently named Rep. Lance Kinzer (R- Olathe) as the Vice Chair of the House Judiciary Committee.

"Lance has demonstrated an excellent understanding of these difficult issues," said Mays. "He has distinguished himself as a leader among his peers and I have confidence he will help lead this committee through issues that are important to the future of Kansas."

Rep. Kinzer was elected to his first term as 14th district Representative in November 2004. Kinzer is a partner at Schlagel, Damore and Gordon LLC where he has practiced since 1999. He and his wife, Michelle, reside in Olathe with their children Pearce and Hailey.

"I appreciate the Speaker giving me the opportunity to serve as Vice Chair of this committee," said Kinzer. "I believe my experience can help guide the committee through issues that can be complex and difficult."
