Rep. Kinzer Testifies on Immigration Reform Legislation
On Monday, February 25th Rep. Kinzer testified before the House Federal & State Affairs Committee in favor of HB 2836. Rep. Kinzer and 22 co-sponsors introduced HB 2836 which, among other things, imposes penalties on employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens and limits access to public benefits for illegal aliens. Lance Kinzer Statement on Immigration

Rep. Kinzer Works Hard on Illegal Immigrant Benefit Issue
Last week the House Committee on Federal & State Affairs held hearings on HB 2367. This bill was introduced by Rep. Kinzer and would require state agencies to verify citizenship of persons seeking certain public benefits. To learn more about this issue see Rep. Kinzer's testimony on this bill.

What's at Stake in the Debate Over Human Cloning
The day after the recent election Governor Sebelius issued a call for Kansas to follow the lead of Missouri and constitutionally enshrine a the practices of human cloning and embryonic stem cell research. Given the Governor’s recent statement I felt it appropriate to attempt to give some context to this issue by releasing the text of a recent speech I delivered to the Blue Valley Rotary Club. Lance Gives Lecture at Signs of Life in Lawrence
On October 6, State Rep. Lance Kinzer wgave a lecture at the Signs of Life Christian bookstore in Downtown Lawrence, Kansas. The lecture, entitled "Russell Kirk and the Politics of Prudence", was part of the Public House at Signs of Life Lecture Series.

Dr. Kirk is author of the 1953 book The Cosnervative Mind. Lance will focus on the importance of the principles discussed in the book to the development of an aunthentic conservative approach to public policy.
